Biography
Zoltán Fekete received Master and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and 2013, respectively, from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in Hungary. His research interests lie in the development of silicon and polymer-based MEMS devices for biomedical applications including novel, multimodal neural interfaces. In 2014, he was a Humboldt Fellow in the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) at the University of Freiburg. From 2015, he is the head of the Research Group for Implantable Microsystems, Faculty of Information Technology & Bionics, Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU), where he devotes his research to the development and testing of microdevices designed for infrared neural stimulation. He is also acting as principal investigator in research projects aiming to design and test soft polymer interfaces and grid electrodes for cortical electrophysiology combined with other neuroimaging techniques.
